"Disturbia" is a 2007 thriller directed by D. J. Caruso, written by Christopher Landon and Carl Ellsworth and produced by Joe Medjuck, E. Bennett Walsh and Jackie Marcus. The film stars Shia LaBeouf, David Morse, Sarah Roehmer and Carrie-Ann Moss. Released months before the huge box office hit in 2007: "Transformers", "Disturbia" set out to introduce Shia LaBeouf from child actor to teen lead. This thriller plays with the "who's who?" of the Cat and Mouse chase game. Kale (Shia LaBeouf) is a young tormented High School kid who is unable to overcome his sense of guilt after being in an accident where his father passed away. After being sentenced to house arrest for striking a teacher in school, Kale begins spying on neighbors like the newcomer, Ashley, who he takes a liking to as soon as he catches sight of her. This distraction grows to the point where he suspects one of his neighbors is a serial killer. Now, Kale, along with his friend and new neighbor embark on a house-confined-mission to prove that their suspicions are right and their neighbor is in fact who they claim he is, but is he really? Fun, exciting and creepy "Disturbia" accomplishes it's goal of being a well made teen thriller without going insanely overboard with plot holes or absurdity. #disturbia My personal rating for this movie is: 10/10 Thanks for watching!
