"Los Ojos de Julia" is a Spanish thriller by Guillermo del Toro starring Belen Rueda, Lluis Homar, Pablo Derqui, Fransesc Orella, Joan Dalmau with special guest appearance Julia Gutierrez Caba. It was directed by Guillem Morales and written by Guillem Morales & Oriol Paulo. The movie follows the story of a twin sister named Julia. After the sudden passing of her sister, Julia starts and investigation of her own to prove that her sister was murdered. Throughout her search, she encounters the terror of being stalked by a shadow. As she gets closer to the truth, the "shadow" starts to take form but her eyesight is being compromised from the same disease her sister had. "Los Ojos de Julia" is a quality thriller film. One that follows the format of its genre while still being filled with interesting human concepts albeit, tragic ones. The movie is terrifying thanks to the wonderful direction and acting from the cast and crew.
