Heyo! After seven years of playing the game, I finally have a verification of a level that I didn’t create! I saw a showcase of this level for the first time a few days ago, and quickly got started learning the level; however, it being an open verification, I was joined by a few other people, and two of them - SuperSteve and Chispii04 - were on my tail from the very second they started today. I have absolutely no idea how I managed to pull ahead, but I did. As for the level, well… I’m giving the gameplay for this level two scores; one for the gameplay itself (which will be what gets factored into my final total) and one for the verification. Most of the gameplay for this level is super fun! It flows really well (mostly) and pretty much every part feels INCREDIBLY satisfying to pull off. Especially the two memory cubes - while learning them wasn’t the most fun thing ever, actually doing them in runs was really fun and made me feel like a genius. However, it wasn’t all good; most of the upside down ships in the level felt really awkward (which is entirely due to 2.2 physics, so I won’t count that against this level), the UFO at about 45 was EXTREMELY awkward and attempts would often end at a click that I died to because I did the timing 10 clicks before a fraction of a second too early, and the swingcopter was a PAIN to get consistent with. The spider dual was pretty annoying at first, but somehow got consistent enough to where I only died at it one time and fluked the entire rest of the level my second time around. Overall, though, the gameplay was very fun! Unfortunately, my enjoyment of this was hampered SIGNIFICANTLY by the circumstances in which I verified it. I don’t typically perform well under pressure, and seeing that Chispii04 had 39-100 and 91 on Renevant (a main list Demon) put a lot of pressure on me, which was only exacerbated by seeing SuperSteve get a fluke from 22 to 63. As a result, I was EXTRAORDINARILY stressed playing this level, so much so that I nearly cried occasionally after losing an attempt to something I shouldn’t have died to. I recognize that this is not an issue with the level, but I still felt it worthy to bring up. Gameplay: 26/100 (due to the race), 81/100 (on its own) The decoration is… interesting? Most of the wave parts are pretty basic, but I really like the decoration in some of the non-wave parts, and I also like the usage of shaders throughout the level. My only gripe is that sometimes the level stays static (i.e. looks the exact same) for a bit too long, and sometimes it gets a little boring; while the laser in a lot of the non-wave parts helps a little, it doesn’t help significantly. Overall, it’s kinda cool, but nothing special. Decoration: 57/100 The song is great, and really works well to create a very intense atmosphere, especially with my ridiculous fluke. I have to say, though, if I ever somehow beat LIMBO, I’m not listening to the song for the full attempt LOL Song: 95/100 The sync is alright; I’ll admit that while parts like the 45% UFO and the spider dual weren’t exactly very fun, they did have the best sync in the whole level. Sync: 72/100 It’s a 1.9-styled Nine Circles level; not very original at all, but I can tell that the creator wasn’t necessarily trying to make something super original, so I don’t mind. Originality: 31/100 Overall: 336/500 (Great) I like this level quite a bit! While I wish I could’ve changed a couple things in the gameplay, I’m still glad I got this to do as my first verification. I’d probably recommend it to those who want to start beating memory Extremes, but just because I did a stupid fluke doesn’t mean you should expect to get the same luck! This is probably a very high-end Insane, if I had to guess? One of the other verifiers said he found it significantly harder than Acu, but I didn’t feel that way. Finally, to both SuperSteve and Chispii04 - I have absolutely nothing but respect for both of you. You were both fantastic competitors and pushed me to my limit in a way I had never experienced before. All three of us could have won this race; I just had more luck on my side than I ever, EVER expected.
