Bichromatic and Multichromatic by gmdmann (Insane Demons) | Geometry Dash

Heyo! I think this video holds the record for longest time between a completion and an upload in my PC career - I beat both of these on June 29, but for various reasons, couldn’t upload the video until today. Oops! Either way, I beat these for (then) 39 and 40 Insane Demons, and given how much people love these levels, I was expecting a lot. Was I disappointed? No! Not really. Okay, kind of. I beat both of these so absurdly quickly - at least, by the standards of how long Insane Demons typically take me - that I couldn’t really get a grasp on how fun the gameplay was. However, I can go off of experience; neither level was a particularly great experience. Yes, both of them are consistent as all hell, but that doesn’t make either experience much better. Now, to its credit, Bi- was not at fault, and I will not be lowering my enjoyment rating for that; the main problem was just that my PC couldn’t really handle it at the time. (No idea why.) However, for Multi-, the dual was incredibly annoying, especially when I could basically do everything before it every single attempt. Other than that, though, I beat these so fast that I don’t have a lot else to talk about. Gameplay: 81/100 | 55/100 On the opposite end of the spectrum, the decoration for both levels is amongst the best decoration in ANY Insane Demon, hands down. Particularly Multi-, which uses the curvy blocks for some of the wave parts; I did not think those would ever be used for outlines in a way that looks good, but what do I know? Unfortunately, both levels were EXTREMELY laggy, and as a result, I had to run them with ULDM enabled, which is a real shame. But that doesn’t change my opinion on the decoration. Decoration: 95/100 | 99/100 The songs for both are… kinda there. I don’t know. Multi- is slightly better, but I didn’t find myself caring for either a particular amount. Song: 67/100 | 71/100 The sync is excellent in both, but unfortunately, there’s a bunch of lag issues that cause the levels to go offsync for some time. Multi- handles this better than Bi-, but it’s still an issue. Sync: 80/100 | 91/100 I don’t even know how to review this section. Just… sure? They’re original. Multi- gets some points because of the aforementioned wave outlines, but not too many. Originality: 75/100 | 81/100 Overall: 398/500 | 397/500 (Great x2) I do like these levels, but I was slightly disappointed with how I ended up viewing them, considering how much everyone else loves these. Either way, though, I think I’d recommend them to beginner Insane Demon players, though Ultra- might be a bit tricky until you have some more Insanes under your belt. Multi- was my 40th Insane Demon, but I took so long to upload this that Skywanderers got demoted to Hard Demon. However, I did beat hi while writing this description to put the count back at 40; I’ll upload that in a couple days. Level: Bichromatic | Multichromatic Creator: ‪@gmdman‬ Attempts: 145 | 104 (for reference, Star Power, which was my previous lowest attempt count on an Insane Demon, took me 299) Farthest Deaths: 81% | 91% In-Game Ratings: Insane Demon (x2) Personal Ratings: Insane Demon (x2) I promise, Sunset Sandstorm will return soon, and it will be going down. I tried to shake off the rust today and got 32-100 for the fifth time very quickly. I don’t know whether it’ll be done tomorrow or if it’ll turn into another year-long project. But it will go down. I swear it. Cya! Doge
