‪@TravelwithNaomi‬ #sailing #cruising #sintmaarten #philipsburg #boatlaunch We are back to Philipsburg, Sint Maartin after 6 months of hauling out Mirtillo for storage. Getting ready for this sailing season and so nice to be back in the action! We spent almost a month, and we really enjoyed accessibility to what we needed such as boat parts and grocery stores within the close proximity. We also enjoyed working with Bobby's Marina, where Miritillo was put on dry storage. For this, we made the right choice to be here in Philipsburg. Where we were to work on the boat, at Bobby's Marina, was steps away from Great Bay Beach, and we enjoyed the neighborhood. Walking along the Great Bay Beach was part of our day, and having a coffee break at our favourite cafe, called Le Cafe, French Bakery and Restaurant became our routine. We tried different things every day, and everything we tried was so amazing! As you may know, when you work on boat maintenance, you never know what you are going to need so access to boat shops, sailmaker, etc. is really beneficial. In case of Sint Maarten, it really was great, because right at the marina, there is a marine shop (well stocked). If you have time, just several minutes walking distance away, there is a big hardware store where you may find what you need. Walking around the town, we found a very affordable automotive shop which we really like. Grocery shopping wise, there is one just around the cornour from the marina so it was great. We love Sint Maartin, and like to share our experiences over there for launching the boat.
