CAP at Home Chill with Art: Cardboard Mandala Collagraph with Ms. Gabby

Materials: Cardboard, White paper, Scissors, Hot glue, Compass, Roller/Paint brush, paint, paper plate Instructions: 1. Draw with a compass a circle on cardboard. You can use a bowl to trace as well if you don't have a compass. You want to make sure the circle will be at least 8-10 inches wide. 2. Cut the circle out and plan a design. You want to use cardboard pieces to make repeating designs 3. Layout your pieces and design on your circle. You can plan and decide if you need more and troubleshoot. 4. Glue your pieces with hot glue, have an adult help if need be. 5. Once your pieces are glued let it dry. 6. Pour some paint on your plate and use your roller or paintbrush to cover your mandala. 7. Make sure there is a good amount of paint to be able to transfer to your paper. 8. Flip your mandala over and lay paint side down on your paper. Apply pressure and make sure you're pressing down to transfer the paint. 9. Lift and check out your awesome mandala! *Join us for more LIVE CAP at Home art every Monday through Thursday projects here at 4pm (or on Instagram and YouTube)! *Email us pictures of your project (or any other CAP at Home project) to [email protected] or post a picture in the comments of this video with your name and age for a chance to be featured on our social media pages! #CAP #CAPDetroit #CAPatHome #Detroit #CCSCAPDetroit #CCS #facebooklive #livearttutorials #artactivities #artistorganization #nonprofit #communityarts #communityartspartnerships #ccsdetroit #artathome #youthartists #artforeveryone #youtube #facebook #videos #tutorials #afterschool #todaysartproject #sponsors #CommunityEducationCoalition #GOALDetroit #GeneralMotors General Motors College for Creative Studies
