I am ready to start dyeing yarn with commercial acid dyes! Watch me mix 1% stock solutions (1 g dye per 100 mL water) of Jacquard acid dyes for the first time! This is less of a tutorial and more of watching how it really works from someone who hasn't done this before. I will take you through my tools and process. In this EXTENDED CUT video, I will mix three stock solutions using Jacquard Violet, Black, and Silver grey Acid Dyes. I decided to share a condensed version and an extended cut because I made some mistakes on the second dyestock I mixed. I thought that sharing this and my trouble shooting could help you learn. It would also show how I'm not perfect and don't do everything correctly on the first try!
