Erev Shabbat | Nitsavim: You Are Standing

Join us for our Erev Shabbat service we will be going through the weekly teachings from Monte Judah. Nitsavim is the final exhortation of Moses. He addresses it to those of Israel standing with him that day: the elders, officers, little ones, wives, aliens (non-Israel), those who chop wood, and even those who carry water (the most menial tasks). He also includes another group - those not standing with them at that time, namely, future generations - even to the final generation. In fact, Moses warns of the exile and desolation of the Land that will result if Israel abandons God’s laws, but then he prophesies that in the end, “You will return to the Lord your God . . . If your outcasts shall be at the ends of the heavens, from there will the Lord your God gather you . . . and bring you into the Land which your fathers have possessed.” This portion also includes the final set of "jots" (there are four of them in the Torah) in verse 29:29 over the words "to our sons forever." Nitsavim concludes with a choice that Moses gives to the people: “I have set before you life and goodness, and death and evil: in that I command you this day to love God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments . . . Life and death I have set before you, blessing and curse. And you shall choose life.” Scripture Readings: Deuteronomy 29:(9)10–30:20, Isaiah 61:10–63:9, Romans 10:1–18 & 9:30-10:13 #shabbat #SabbathService #hebrewrootsteacher https://lionandlamb.tv/categories/cat... https://www.bnaishalom.tv/watch-live https://lionandlambministries.org/ https://lionandlambministries.org/res... https://llgive.com "KADOSH" courtesy Elisheva shomron
