With quiet E2S 'Apello' alarms and the typical number of four LED wigwags / road traffic lights, the crossing itself isn't too remarkable on its own. However, quite an interesting vantage point can be had from the footbridge here, taken advantage of in the third lowering of the five featured, and I have always liked this shot. The 'strike in' point for westbound trains can be varied as to whether or not the train is booked to stop in the station, as is the case for most half-barrier crossings near stations. Since the withdrawal of Class 313 units from this route, Electrostars are the sole users of this line on a typical day, and the variety has gone.
