Trains, Trams and Buses at Coburg - Melbourne Transport

In this video we see trains, trams and buses around Coburg, a busy area in Melbourne's northern suburbs on the Upfield line. We start the video at Coburg train station, which is the busiest station on the line and one of the few 'premium' stations on the line. Here we see various Comeng and Siemens trains. Coburg opened in September 1884 as the original terminus of the line, and features a nice Victorian Gothic station building built in 1888 on platform 1. Oddly enough platform 2 was only a more recent addition; having been built in 1995. We then visit the Bell Street level crossing which will soon be grade separated, rebuilt as an elevated 'skyrail' along with three other nearby level crossings. This will also see Coburg station rebuilt (don't worry the station building is heritage listed so it will be retained). Bell Street is a busy bus corridor in the area and is home to a number of frequent bus routes including Smartbus route 903, and routes 513, 527 & 561. As a result we see various buses from Transdev, Ventura and Dysons (including their East-West Bus Company subsidiary). We then head off to Sydney Road where we see some trams on route 19. Here we see some Comeng/ABB B2 Class trams, and some Siemens Combino (D2 Class trams). Route 19 is the only route where you'll commonly find the D2's (yes they do run on route 6 but they're nowhere near as frequent). Clips on the station were recorded in December 2017. The rest of the clips were recorded in December 2018. Subscribe to ThebusofdoomFSX: https://www.youtube.com/user/Thebusof... Facebook:   / thebusofdooms-transport-videos-27510006958...
