In this video we visit Caroline Springs, a relatively new suburb around 21km west of Melbourne. Beginning development in 1997 the suburb has grown considerably over the past two decades and had a population of 24,448 in the 2021 census. The suburb is primarily centered around the CS Square Shopping Centre which is where we do some bus spotting. Caroline Springs is served by 7 bus routes operated by CDC Melbourne, Kastoria, Kinetic, and Transit Systems. Being filmed in March 2019 we see some bus operators that no longer exist, as we see buses operated by Transdev (who lost their contract to Kinetic in January 2022), and Sita Buslines (who changed their name to Transit Systems after being acquired by that multinational company). We also see some buses that no longer do route service including Transdev's MAN 12.220's (with the Custom Coaches 'CB30' bodies) and Scania L94UB's (with the Volgren 'CR222L' bodies), and Kastoria's Mercedes Benz O405NH's (with the Volgren 'CR221L' bodies). We also see the usual variety of buses from the various operators including Scania L94UB's, Mercedes Benz O500LE's, Scania K230UB's, Volvo B12BLE's, and Volvo B7RLE's.
