Photo Deconstruction: Classic Beauty Image with Reflection

In this video I deconstruct how I created a classic beauty image with a little bit of a creative twist by adding a reflection on the image. I wanted to create something that would appeal to makeup brands and have pale skin and rich colors in the makeup/background. I used a piece of plexiglass with a mirrored surface so that model could pose on it. The image was lit with 2 strobes; a beauty dish with a grid as the main light and a bare bulb with red gel as a background light. In raw processing I desaturated and lightened the skin, then retouched in Photoshop to create a porcelain look to the image.
