He helped start the hip hop group called the Diplomats, also known as Dipset, in 1997 with his fellow Harlem artist Cam'ron. After their first album, Diplomatic Immunity, did well, Jones released his first solo album, On My Way to Church, in 2004. Although it didn't do as well, his next two albums, Harlem: Diary of a Summer in 2005 and Hustler's P.O.M.E.
