The Mamiya ZM represented the end of Mamiya 35mm film cameras. The Z series ended on a high note, though Mamiya 35mm cameras overall ended on a down note. The ZM represented the best of the Mamiya Z series. Today these are known as the most reliable of the Z series with the fewest electronics issues. The ZE, ZE-2, and ZE-X are all known for failing electronics and failing parts. The Z series has, in common, a significant amount of plastic construction and some of that plastic has not aged well, becoming brittle with time. Another challenge with Mamiya Z series cameras involves finding the lenses, which today have become uncommon to rare. That said, the Mamiya ZM is a fantastic and fun camera to shoot with. It provides great exposures and is easy to carry because of the light body. The first video provides a general review of the Mamiya ZM with a look at the buttons and layout. the second video provides a detailed look at how to use the camera including all of the functions, changing batteries, loading film, swapping lenses, and taking photos.
