This video will take you from start to finish, from tieing you skein of 100% wool yarn, to heating the dye bath, "cooking" the yarn, and then finally cleaning the brilliantly colored yarn. It is possible to dye wool/acrylic blends with this method, but you need to have some animal fibers for the color to take.
