When I first tried to make speckled yarn ( • How to Dye Speckled Yarn with Food Co... ), I used an eyedropper and diluted food coloring mixture. I knew that I could make more vibrant patches of color if I used more concentrated dye, but I wondered if there was a different way I could apply the dye to the yarn to get even smaller patches of color.
