Ključne besede pri Kolaričevem umetniškem pristopu so: gibljivost, gestualnost (t.i. dripping, taljenje materije), teleskopiranje (iz svitka v objekt), ritem in melodika. To velja tako za figuraliko plastik, kot tudi za njegov pristop pri fotografiji in risbi (D. Mahnič: “risba je razkošna v elementarni gestualnosti”). Pomembna kiparjeva želja, da se razstava vsebinsko vpne v komentiranje aktualnega svetovno-političnega trenutka, zato tudi naslov razstave Dialoškost in empatičnost – kot dva principa, ki v današnjem svetu močno manjkata. Kot svoj vzor Kolarič omeni francoskega umetnika Ivesa Kleina. ki združuje pojme minimalizma, umetniškega performensa, nove realnosti in pop-arta. Morda prav tako živa umetnost.
