I show how to add an outlet to a circuit. This is in the Chicago area. USA. I show the steps I took to add an outlet to a kitchen circuit. I needed to install an outlet behind a fridge in a new location. In this Chicago neighborhood, we use metal boxes with metal conduit. For conduit use AC cable. The aluminum bonding wire and cable is your grounding path. You can use the same steps if you use nonmetallic cable. Your fittings and boxes would just be different. If you have any questions on how to run a new outlet, give your local electrical inspector a call. They are great at answering questions and letting you know the local codes.
