We wanted to hike the Mist Trail in Yosemite National Park for a while now. We finally did it. We conquered the Vernal Falls and Nevada Falls — we made it to the top of these falls via Mist Trail. This trail was very intimidating for us. We could have easily turned around and gone home after we reached the foot of the Vernal Falls, but our daredevil out-of-shape selves told us to keep going. Glad we did, it was worth it. We highly recommend this trail. Trail: The Mist Trail (Vernal and Nevada Falls) Location: Yosemite National Park Length: 6 miles, round trip Elevation at trailhead: 4,000 feet (1,200 meters) Elevation Gain: 1,000 feet (300 meters) to top of Vernal Falls; 1,900 feet (580 meters) to top of Nevada Falls.
