Big Bear Lake California Looking West Towards Fawnskin, North Shore & Holcomb Valley on Right Side.

Looking westward over Big Bear Lake, from the mid-point of Stanfield-Cutoff. Sometimes the mid-point can be good to catch fish. However, this day was not one of those days. Fawnskin is on the opposite side of the lake here and then North Shore is on the right side and Holcomb Valley is on the right side also, but goes deeper in to the mountainous terrain on the right. Behind me would be Big Bear City, Sugarloaf, Baldwin Lake, Erwin Lake and the local airport. To my left here is City of Big Bear Lake with Snow Summit & Bear Mountain Ski Resorts. In the distance on the left bottom side is where the Big Bear Lake Dam is located, although it is right off to the left side of this short time lapse. This is the area where The Line Fire is still burning. However, during the time of this time lapse it was smoldering with many different hot-spots and this was one of the few days where the smoke / air quality index numbers were not hazardously high. The fire that remains is on the other side of the Snow Summit mountain ridge and all evacuation orders have been lifted. Thank goodness, a wildfire can be unpredictable and frightening to say the least! Last was I want to go is to burn-up and then blow away as ash and dust.
