Strat Pickups comparison D. Allen Texas flood vs. D. Allen Dover

I normally play a rosewood board strat but have these two maple board Strats that I also really like alot. An 1982 MIJ ‘57 reissue, and a 2010-ish American Special. After a few experiments years ago with the ‘82 MIJ I arrived at D. Allen Texas flood pickups and don’t intend to change them again. The ‘10 was purchased second hand with butchered electronics, and I built it back up with D. Allen Dover pickups. Admittedly the ‘10 has seen a lot less stage time and in spite of owning it several years, I’m just starting to dial it in and am decide exactly what it is I want from it. On one hand my comfort zone is to add a slightly richer midrange content like the ‘82, on the other hand it’s got a very nice clarity to it, sounds excellent as is, and could very well be left alone. Something for me to kick around and think about anyway 💭 I’ve had the opportunity to listen to several live playbacks of both guitars in a band context, I think they both sound great but the 2010 is currently very slightly outside my comfort zone, but i do really like it….Maybe I’ll give myself some time to acclimate before changing anything.
