Mission 9 to Ludwigshaven. B17 Mighty Eighth REDUX - Patch 1.0.10 I’m flying historical missions the 381st Bomb group flew. On this day they flew a mission to Ludwigshaven that took place on the 30th December 1943. Due to the game skipping three days at a time the date in the game is a couple of days off. The latest patch needs a bit of work in my opinion. There’s too many fighters and not enough friendly fighters to help. The bombers guns also seem to lose their range effectiveness after a few waves of enemy fighters attacks. Making it very hard to shoot down inbound enemy fighters. This was a known bug from the original Mighty Eighth game. Due to the number of enemy fighters, the flak also is significantly suppressed. This wasn't a bad thing today as this was our longest mission to date and certainly a lenghty one.
