The Beach Boys - Fun, Fun, Fun (Stereo Remix)

"Fun, Fun, Fun" is one of the most iconic songs from The Beach Boys. Originally released as a single in February 1964, it would be included on their album "Shut Down Volume 2," and become a major hit for the band. One notable thing about this track is the difference between the original stereo and mono mixes. The stereo fades out significantly early compared to the mono, resulting in the ending being cut short. While a remix from 2013 tries to fix this, I wanted to create a mix that is similar to the classic style of Beach Boys stereo mixes, while extending the ending to hear those lovely harmonies and falsettos. This mix uses a blend of sources to allow for the best quality possible. It takes the official backing track released on the "Hawthorne, CA" compilation, and mixes it with the acapella from the "Keep an Eye On Summer" sessions set. To fill in the missing overdubs, I have used the Unsurpassed Masters for the organ solo, and I isolated the intro guitar from the original stereo mix. All of these allow for a mix that feels like the vintage stereo, while having the benefits of the mono mix.
