The Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ Professional Landscape Series provides free, science-based information on topics of interest to green industry professionals, landscape architects, and community association managers. This session covers a holistic approach to turfgrass management to improve quality while minimizing environmental impacts. Dr. A.J. Lindsey presents "Turf Management to Protect the Environment." He is an assistant professor in the Department of Environmental Horticulture at UF. His main research focuses on turfgrass performance, sustainable alternative management practices, and soil fertility and health. His extension program focuses on providing education, training, and assistance to the public and a diverse clientele regarding turfgrass management systems to improve quality in a sustainable way.
