Gang-gang update 1 Nov 2024: Very small numbers as breeding season commences. (4 in video, 7 total).

A brief video for 1 November 2024. Very small numbers this morning, with a grand total of 7 for the morning, including the 4 GGs in this video. These low numbers are a sure sign that the breeding season has commenced and the adult breeding pairs are maintaining active nests. The Gang-gang 'creches' will still be cruising around but their absence from the feeding table is a good sign that they are foraging in both the bush and suburban backyards and finding ample food sources. It is quite possible I will get more juveniles in the coming weeks as various natural food sources are depleted, but it is quite sporadic and contingent on various factors such as rainfall.
