This is my process for performing a heat pump maintenance/tune up in the cooling mode. I take you step by step through my process. A couple of things I didn't show due to the length of the video, but you can see overall what my process is for this type of job. I currently charge $200 for this service in my area of Northeast Tennessee once I have done an initial maintenance/tune-up on the system. This particular system took me 3 hours to complete. For a first time customer, I charge $250 because I have no idea what I am walking into and how bad of shape the system is in. I have done some first time maintenances where I felt that I should have quoted more for the job because the system was so neglected and I spent 4 hours cleaning it up. You win some and you lose some out here. Some people have refused my service when I quote them over the phone because they feel the price is too high and some people say that I am providing a great value for the money especially once they see how their unit looks and performs once I am done.
