Image critique is essential for creative development but also for image selection when it comes to finding out which photographs are print-worthy and which are not. Just as photography as an art form is an entirely personal matter, the same should apply to image selection. It's too easy to be influenced by other photographs and end up making decisions that don't match your personal goals. It is therefore very important as a photographer to develop a image critique toolbox with which you can assess your own images according to the criteria that are important to you personally.
