New Orleans Saints SB 44 Postgame - WWL-TV

From February 7, 2010, WWL-TV New Orleans' comprehensive postgame coverage of the New Orleans Saints' first ever Super Bowl victory. Led by record-setting quarterback Drew Brees and Coach Sean Payton, the Saints completed an unforgettable run to the Vince Lombardi Trophy by defeating Peyton Manning's Indianapolis Colts 31-17 in Super Bowl 44. Who Dats everywhere celebrated this historic win in style. This coverage, which aired immediately after CBS' broadcast of the game, is anchored by Dennis Woltering and Angela Hill (both now retired from WWL). The program features game highlights, plus postgame interviews with Drew Brees, Sean Payton, running back Reggie Bush, linebacker Scott Shanle, defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis, cornerbacks Tracy Porter and Malcolm Jenkins, safety Usama Young, tackles Zach Strief and Jermon Bushrod, guard Jahri Evans, wide receiver Lance Moore, and offensive tackle Jon Stinchcomb. Former Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal is also interviewed during the broadcast, as is longtime Saints owner Tom Benson and former Saints running back/honorary team captain Deuce McCallister. WWL-TV's coverage features reports and analysis by the Saints' longtime play-by play-voice (and former station sports director) Jim Henderson, who called the game w/late former Saints running back and team scout Hokie Gajan over the team's radio network. Additional reporting by Mike Hoss (now retired from WWL), Bigad Shaban (now at KNTV in San Francisco),, Bill Capo (also retired from WWL), Paul Murphy (still at WWL), Doug Mouton (still at WWL), Juan Kincaid (now at WVUE), Maya Rodriguez (now at NBC News) and Scott Satchfield (also now at WVUE). Current WWL chief meteorologist Carl Arredondo's forecast is also included later on in the coverage. NOTE: I left the first 45 minutes of this coverage on the same DVD that I used to record the game. Since the disc's recording space ran out, and since I wasn't aware of this until minutes later, I ended up missing about 9-10 minutes of the postgame. I resumed recording a few minutes after 10 PM. From there, the coverage is complete until sign-off. My apologies. All copyrights acknowledged.
