This is a video of Etienne Thalmann presenting his research at ASME's 2021 International Design Engineering Technical Conference (IDETC). The topic of this work is the design of the new TRIVOT compliant mechanism (TRIple crossed flexure piVOT). This mechanism has a parasitic shift that is one order of magnitude smaller than the widely used crossed flexure pivot. It is hence expected to become a competitive alternative for applications where high accuracy and compactness are required.
