Debbie Simonton - Above and Beyond

Debbie Simonton is the Health and Wellness Department Chair, Director of Tennis and Varsity Tennis Coach at Rosary Academy. In addition to a BS degree in Kinesiology, a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, and her USPTA tennis professional certification, Debbie brings over three decades of teaching experience to this all-girls prep school. Debbie contributes to the school’s mission of empowering students in mind, body, and spirit by providing a freshman Health and Wellness curriculum that embraces all three. An active problem solver, Debbie has expanded her curriculum focus to include a new student decorum that challenges students to be passionate about making responsible choices and embracing proper etiquette and appropriate behavior. As a Head Coach, Debbie has created a balanced tennis program that focuses on the well-being of all her athletes. She has laid a foundation that players have eagerly adopted, a balance between academics and athletics. Debbie has provided hundreds of players with top training while developing them not only as competitors but as fine young women of faith, honoring their school’s charism of “Serving the Dear Neighbor”.
