Martha Madrid has spent over 40 years deeply committed to the Santa Ana community, with 29 of those years dedicated to Project Youth OC, a nonprofit uplifting Orange County's underserved youth and families through restorative justice, building pathways to education and career and bridging gaps in critical resources. Her tireless work has impacted countless lives, guiding them toward a brighter future. As Associate Director, Martha helped to secure significant federal grants through DHHS/SAMHSA Centers for Substance Abuse Prevention and Centers for Disease Control to create programs focused on substance abuse and HIV prevention. Her strong partnerships with local law enforcement enabled her to reach some of the community's most vulnerable women and girls, including those incarcerated, offering them critical substance abuse and HIV/AIDS prevention health education. Beyond prevention, Martha has been a beacon of hope for over 400 Latino students, helping them become the first in their families to attend college, unlocking more than $1 million in scholarships. Her impact has been recognized by LULAC, Orange County Probation, Congressman Lou Correa, and others. Martha's story is one of unwavering dedication, compassion, and love. She is a proud mother, an animal advocate, and a woman whose legacy will continue to inspire and uplift future generations.
