Gran Turismo 7 - The Human Comedy - Tsukuba Circuit - Race Strategy Guide - 1.52 UPDATED

Welcome to my guide for winning The Human Comedy Tsukuba Race on Gran Turismo 7. THIS RACE WAS COMPLETED ON HARD DIFFICULTY THIS RACE WAS RECORDED ON UPDATE 1.41. As new game updates come out I will make a note in the description if any changes are required to the car setup or strategy. UPDATE 1.52: No changes required UPDATE 1.49 - Tyre wear has changed from 10X to 7X PP Limit has changed from 600 to 610 however I don't recommend changing the setup at all. No strategy changes required. This is a 1 hour one make race around Tsukuba featuring the Mazda Roadster Touring Car. PP Limit is 600, All Racing Tyres and both Wet Tyres are available. Tyres are at 10X and fuel is at 10X Race Strategy - Start the race on Racing Medium Tyres, don’t fuel save. Try to make up as much ground to the leaders as possible before the rain arrives. Make sure you keep an eye on the weather radar and change to wet tyres when necessary. You shouldn’t need to fuel save this race unless you’re trying to extend a stint while waiting for the rain. Items I bought for the car from the Tuning Shop: Fully Customisable Suspension Fully Customisable Differential Fully Customisable ECU Ballast Fully Customisable Racing Transmission Racing (Slotted Disc) Braking System Racing Brake Pads Brake Controller Racing Clutch & Flywheel Racing Medium Tyres Intermediate Tyres Heavy Wet Tyres Items I bought from GT Auto: Custom Rear Wing (This unlocks the downforce settings for the car setup) My Brake Balance was set at 2 for this race. All of my settings are personal preference and not required, everyone’s driving style is different and some settings that work for me may not work for you. If my settings aren’t working for you, try different settings, play around with the Brake Balance until you find a setting that works from you. Below you find my thought process on the strategy while I was racing, I go into detail about what I was thinking about and what strategy I should do depending on weather, fuel and tyres. Starting the race on Racing Medium Tyres the first stint is about trying to make up as much ground on the leaders as possible, the goal was to be in the lead by the time I had to make my first pit stop, I didn’t do any fuel saving. With light scattered showers on the map I decided to keep the Racing Medium Tyres on at the first pit stop, I did not change tyres I only added a full tank of fuel in the hopes to get as far into the second stint as possible on the Racing Medium Tyres. After the first pit stop I was 15 seconds off the leader so I caught back up while keeping an eye on the weather radar. The heavier rain held off until I ran out of fuel and needed to pit again and by this time the tyres were pretty worn out. At the second pit stop we added another full tank of fuel and I put on Intermediate Tyres, the rain clouds were still reasonably light with no heavier rain on the radar yet so I decided not to put on the Heavy Rain Tyres. At around 20 minutes left in the race the big rain clouds started appearing on the weather radar and we were due for another pit stop, at the third pit stop we added another full tank of fuel and I put on Heavy Wet Tyres. After the third pit stop I started trying to save some fuel in the hope to make it to the end of the race without pitting again but the weather cleared up very quickly and the track started to dry out so I decided to stop fuel saving and at about 10 minutes left I made my fourth and final pit stop and put Intermediate Tyres on and added a couple of laps of fuel to make sure I could get to the end of the race.
