Gran Turismo 7 - The Human Comedy - Red Bull Ring - Race Strategy Guide - UPDATED 1.52

Welcome to my guide for winning The Human Comedy - Red Bull Ring Race on Gran Turismo 7. THIS RACE WAS COMPLETED ON HARD DIFFICULTY THIS RACE WAS RECORDED ON UPDATE 1.42 As new game updates come out I will make a note in the description if any changes are required to the car setup or strategy. UPDATE 1.50: No changes required UPDATE 1.49 Tyre wear has changed from X5 to X3 No strategy changes required. The car I used for this race still feels great to drive. If you aren't happy with using the car I used then its definitely worth trying out other Gr.3 cars that suit your driving style while still following my strategy. This is a 1 hour endurance race around Red Bull Ring featuring Gr.3 cars, BoP is ON so we cannot change the car setup. Racing Hard, Medium and Soft Tyres available and Intermediate/ Heavy Wet Tyres are also available. Race Strategy - Start the race on Racing Medium Tyres, change the fuel to level 2 at the start of the race and keep it there for the entire race. Pit with 45 minutes left for a full tank of fuel only, DO NOT change tyres. At around 30 minutes remaining the rain should get heavier and you can make a pit stop for wet tyres and a full tank of fuel, the strategy will be different for everyone after the 30 minute mark depending on how wet the track is. Keep an eye on the weather radar for the rain and the water level meter for the track, this can determine what tyres you change to at the pit stops at 30 minutes left and 15 minutes left. Car Choice for this race: Mercedes-AMG GT3 ‘20 This car feels good to drive in dry and wet conditions, it has good straight line speed and feels good in the corners, fuel saving is decent and its handling in wet conditions is also decent, however I recommend changing the traction control to level 3 when the rain is heavy. This will prevent wheel spin and also prevent the car from spinning out. This race is pretty much guaranteed to have rain in it but the time it comes varies every time you do the race, after a few tests the rain starts to get heavier with 30 minutes left in the race most of the time. This makes the strategy very difficult to get right as everyone’s race will be different but this should give you a good starting strategy. At the start of the race your goal should be to get through the traffic and chase down the leaders, ideally being in front or close to 1st place by the first pit stop, after the first stop aim to extend your lead while the track is still dry, once the rain starts to come down the AI will start making really bad decisions with pit stops, do your best to judge the weather and change to the appropriate tyres for the conditions, this may take you a few tries to get right. Hopefully if you extended your lead before the heavy rain hit you should have enough of a lead that if you make a mistake you should still be in front. The rain should stop around 20 minutes left in the race, at the final pit stop with 15 to 10 minutes remaining you can either put on the Intermediate Tyres which is recommended or you can brave out like I did on the Racing Medium Tyres, if you choose the Racing Medium Tyres make sure you stay on the dry line, if you run wide or hit a kerb your car will spin out, this is why I recommend Intermediate Tyres to prevent this. Here are some timestamps to break down the race and when I made Pit Stops: Race Details - 0:00 Race Strategy - 0:10 Car Choice - 0:30 Race Tips - 0:40 Race Start - Racing Medium Tyres - 1:28 First Pit Stop - Full Fuel, DO NOT change tyres - 16:38 Second Pit Stop - Rain was Heavy so I changed to Heavy Wet Tyres and Full Fuel - 30:53 Third Pit Stop - Rain had stopped and a dry line was forming so I decided to change to Racing Medium Tyres, Intermediate Tyres was probably the better choice, I also only added 80% fuel because a full tank lasts 10 laps or 15 minutes and there was only 10 minutes remaining in the race. - 50:54 Race End - 1:02:49 Outro - 1:03:00 My Settings / Equipment Settings Used: Manual Transmission ABS - Default TCS - 0 (Unless specified above) Counter-steer Assist - Strong Steering Sensitivity- 0 Steering Force Feedback Max.
