Resin Mold For Silicone Casting Part 1

This is part 1 of a 2 part video on making a resin mold for casting silicone parts. The end result of this process is 2 molds: one silicone and one resin. We used TC-5130F fast silicone to mold a Monster Clay pattern. The resulting TC-5130F mold is then used to cast a TC-5110F silicone part. Zip 301 Mold Release was used to keep the TC-5110F from sticking to the TC-5130F mold. In part 2 we use the TC-5110F silicone part to create a hard, TC-808 resin mold. The final mold can be used to produce silicone parts for medical simulators, tattoo practice skins, special effects skins, and other silicone skin applications.
