This version is so hauntingly beautiful... Notes: 1) "懐春 - Kaishun" is one of Kyo's made-up words. The kanji "懐" is used in words which express "desire" or "yearning", when you "miss something" or "hold something dear". "春" generally stands for "spring"(, but it can be a metaphor for "youth" or more literally "the spring of your life"). Most likely the title reflects the narrators unfullfilled desire to go forward in time to be reunited with their beloved after a sorrowful winter. Or possibly back in time, back to the joyful days of youth, back to the time they got to spend with their beloved back then. Or maybe even both. 2) This song is probably written from the point of view of a woman. The narrator refers to themself as "watashi", the neutral version of "I" which is generally used by women, and refers to their loved one as "anata", the polite (and in this case affectionate) version of "you". In addition to that, the narrator's way of speaking sounds very feminine. 3) 0:55 - "畦道 - azemichi" is a (sometimes raised) footpath between rice fields, which you can find a lot of in rural regions of Japan. On an unrelated note, the part from 2:56 to 3:23 , especially in the studio version, always tears my heart into shreds... ~This is my translation.
