Following on from the previous video, this is the little man who survived the electrocution of his mum on overhead power lines. Another beautiful, healthy life was saved this morning because a member of the public called in a dead bat on the ground. Mother bats tuck their newborn baby up in their wing pit where a single nipple is located. The baby will travel out with it's mother each evening firmly attached to a nipple for the first four or five weeks before being parked back at the colony or sometimes even in a random tree until mum comes back to collect it. Thank you to all the people who call in bats and other wildlife in distress as without you we wouldn't be able to save anywhere near as many as we do. And a big thanks also to Anya as this was her first ever bat rescue. Well done!
