Expert: Uday Wavikar, VP, Consumer Court Bar and Association. Question: I live in Jaipur. The construction of the building was completed in September 2015. The building developer told me that a society had been formed and also made himself the chairperson of the society. Now, he has not shared the registration status to the society. He has collected maintenance amount from the residents stating that service and water supply would be stopped. When we asked him the expense details, he is not ready to give us the statement. They are also charging him the maintenance cost at Rs 2.5/sq. ft. which is very high. What is the recourse available for me as an owner of the house? Answer: If builder fails to register then then you can file a case in Consumer Court. Also you can ask for details of the accounts. You must claim a refund of excess money collected. Approach a co-operative court for society issue. Link: http://www.mbnow.in/property/videos/a... Be Un - Confused : http://www.mbnow.in/property
