Backpacking FAIL: Galiuro Wilderness, AZ

I like to show my failures as well as my successes. I think it keeps one honest and grounded insofar as most hiking content out there seems to show a rose-tinted view of the experience. I bail out of trips all the time - that's just part of backpacking. There isn't a hiker out there that hasn't decided to turn around at some point, and it's not just because conditions are impassable or dangerous or because you got injured. Sometimes it's simply because the conditions make it so that the hiking is no fun. And isn't that why we do this after all? This was supposed to be a 3-day backpacking loop from Deer Creek TH to Holdout Spring, then to Powers Garden and back. I think I got about 4 miles in before I bailed. lol. Thanks for watching!
