Med Breaks - Siete - Bat Yam

Bat Yam, the seventh chapter of the Med Breaks series, tells the story of the domestic small and enthusiastic surfers' scene. It is Dean Almog; son to a family of surfers, the owner of the local surf school and a Billabong team member, his spouse, Amit Vizel; a communication student, photographer, surfer and Dean's partner for his many worldwide surf trips, Shlomi Gabay; Bat Yam's mythological lifeguard, a surfer, a diver and man of the sea and Arkadi Kazarian; a dedicated surfer who lives on the sea right on the surfers' peak, that share their Bat Yam experience in "Med Breaks | Bat Yam". Bat-Yam, the holy land's 5th biggest city established in 1927 on the southern border of Jaffa right on the Mediterranean coastline, sources its name from its location: Bat Yam, in free translation; daughter of the sea, is Hebrew for mermaid. Bat Yam's beach is famous for its "Edom Rock", a prominent boulder very close to the beach which according to the legend, fish would approach and kiss. Med Breaks is a series of surf documentaries by Yaeer (Jungo) Eldar and Ro E Shalti, both surfers in sole, sharing their insight of Mediterranean surf delights; hidden surfing spots along the holly land's unique Mediterranean coastline. The need to find original music that will go along with the simple beach life vibe of "Med Breaks" gave birth to the "Med Breaks House Band", responsible for all "Med Breaks" chapters' soundtracks: Asaf Shalem- guitars, ukulele & vocals Yaeer Eldar - guitars, ukulele, bass, percussion & vocals Or Kantor - guitars Ro E Shalti - guitars Amit Sagie - flute, bass, guitars, melodica, additional recordings and mixes at Jaffa Studios Omer (Lopez) Wolf - lyrics on "LOPEZ" Yaeer (Jungo) Eldar: A Videographer and artist, active for many years and well appreciated in the local film industry. In recent years, Yaeer was involved in numerous international productions amongst which are "The Goodwin Project", "God Went Surfing with the Devil" both in the US and "Covelong Point" in India.
