Treasures from the S.S. Central America on display at the 2022 ANA show

At the 2022 annual convention of the American Numismatic Association, I recorded some of the treasures that were recovered from the wreck of the S.S. Central America. This shipwreck was a time capsule from 1857 and included large quantities of assay bars never seen before, thousands of 1857-S $20 gold pieces, and treasures carried aboard by merchants and passengers. Most of these items have been or will be dispersed at auction, thus this was the last chance to see them all together.
