We Ride South Down the Kaikoura Coast Highway in Perfect Conditions

In this video we ride South down the Kaikoura Coast Highway, State Highway One, from Okiwi Bay through to Kaikoura town centre. This video is another leg of our recent ten day road trip down to Cromwell and marks our first full day in the South Island. We had spent the night in Blenheim before setting off at 7.30am in the morning in perfect conditions down the East Coast of the South Island. We stopped for a break at Paparoa Point Reserve to take in the views and observe a very large fur seal colony before carrying on to Kaikoura where we met with Rex from the HOG Christchurch Chapter who had ridden up160km to meet with us and lead us back down into Christchurch. This video however only takes us through into Kaikoura town centre and the Encounter Cafe where we had a great breakfast before carrying on into Woodend, a suburb of Christchurch. We all salute you Rex, what a magnificent effort and much appreciated. We did a lot of riding with the HOG Christchurch crew over the next few days and couldn't wish for better companions both on the road and off the road. Looking forward to ride together again anytime and anywhere - North Island or South Island.
