Fishin' Mission and Crown Land Camping is Part 1 of 2 of our trip to Noganosh Lake Provincial Park. This trip took place in August of 2022. Graeme was yet to catch, clean, and cook his own fish this season, and decided he would not eat anything until he did so. Our entry point had a short paddle before three portages which entered Smoky Lake. Here we set up on an island on the south end of the lake, past the narrow squeeze before entering Noganosh Lake. With endless weed beds and a hungry belly, Graeme took out to find some fish while Cait and Rook enjoyed some downtime. After a small fish fry and a calm evening, we enjoyed a relaxing day on the water the following day before setting up camp on another island. This video shows more of what we do when we arrive at camp, as the travel in the day was much lighter than our typical trips. This trip took place on the traditional territory of the Anishinabewaki and Mississauga. All footage captured on the GoPro MAX.
