2024 SPRING Australian Working Stock Dog Auction 6th-12th September 2024 www.workingstockdogauction.com.au LOT 201 COOLIBAH TEX Tex is a one year old Border Collie male, who has grown into a lovely sized, free moving dog. He's friendly and outgoing, and doesn't cause any issues around the dog pens. Tex started working sheep at 12 weeks of age. He has progressed through the training program on sheep and started on cattle. Whilst training Tex has shown no problem with working by himself. Tex has progressed onto mustering cattle as part of a team dogs. He has shown a desire to work the tail of the mob this aligns with his heel biting tendencies. Tex balances well and takes basic commands such as sit and stop, has a good call off. As you can see in the video's Tex has plenty of drive to get to his stock and a willingness to hold the mob together. Has mustered with bike/buggy and horse, has not shown any desire to work the horse, only cattle. The main reason I am moving this dog on is due to his heel biting. I already have one and I'm not requiring two with heel bite in my team.
