Women Leaders in Justice and Accountability Project: Systems Mapping Workshop, Dhaka, Bangladesh

Asia Justice Coalition (AJC) and the Centre for Peace and Justice, BRAC University (‪@cpj_bracu‬) jointly organised a Systems Mapping Workshop for emerging women legal practitioners in Dhaka, Bangladesh from 16- 18 November 2023. The three-day residential workshop is a part of the four-year ‪@AsiaJusticeCoalition‬ - ‪@co-impact5702‬ project on ‘Women Leaders in International Justice & Accountability’ (#WIJA) that aims to increase avenues to international justice and accountability through women-centered and women-led legal interventions. Participants discussed challenges and barriers in international law in three thematic areas; the rights of refugees, migrants and IDPs; international criminal justice mechanisms; and transitional and restorative justice. Some workshop participants also shared their insights on select questions about women leaders and justice and accountability in Bangladesh. Please watch the video to see what they had to say.
