A proper Lake District MTB adventure - The Langdales to Coniston Sometimes rides don't go exactly as planned but the end result is still a fantastic day. This week, I met up with a few mates and we planned to ride from Chapel Stile in Elterwater and head over to Coniston, before returning via Iron Keld. The day didn't start well when Christian (Toby Dog MTB) and Conor slept in so couldn't make it; it then took us an age to get up the main climbs, followed by me getting a mechanical. But don't let that put you off (please), as the trails we rode are amazing and as per usual, we had an awesome time. This is a loop that has it all; big climbs, epic descents and scenery that takes your breath away. Christian will be coming along to do this (or a similar) loop in the future and it will be interesting to see how he gets on with his eBike, especially on the climbs.
