Welcome to the tenth of the 44 SHE LEADS video profiles for 2024. Tonga's renowned artist, Kilistina Fehoko, creates distinctive works using natural materials like palm nuts, tapa cloth, and raffia fibers. During her interview for the SHE LEADS series, she skillfully crafted a miniature angel, reflecting her mastery of traditional Tongan art and dedication to preserving cultural heritage. “My encouragement to women is to put our hearts into our work and have love for the future, love for our family, and get up and work.” Kilistina was interviewed as part of the SHE LEADS project by Pacific Trade Invest NZ, where innovative women in all areas of business throughout the Blue Pacific are invited to tell their inspirational stories on camera. Forty-five individual video interviews have been made in 2024, in Cook Islands New Caledonia, Samoa and Tonga. The videos will be rolled out weekly, online and world-wide via various social media platforms.
