(This session will provide a great connection for those who want to have a quick way to communicate with legislators in Washington D.C. to show support for English learners, teachers, adults and the community. Included will be an overview of the Advocacy & Policy Summit training held annually in June by TESOL. English language educators from across the US meet to learn about advocacy training, current political climate and trends as they relate to TESOL's priorities. On the final day, they will with members of Congress to share their input. The session will include photos of TexTESOL participants in these summits throughout the past five years. Lastly a useful demonstration of the TESOL Advocacy Action Center will prepare participants to be ready to advocate
