Disney Doppelgängers: Lady & Merryweather

Please consider supporting me at / lindsayholiday and help me make more fascinating videos! Two of Disney’s sweet and sympathetic characters have a little something in common. Lady from Lady and the Tramp (1955) and Merryweather the fairy from Sleeping Beauty (1959) both face difficult changes in their lives. Lady is a cocker spaniel who is unsure of her place in the home once her beloved humans have a baby. Merryweather and her sister good fairies must live as humans in order to protect Princess Aurora. Both characters have rebellious streaks that get them into big trouble but both ultimately take great risks to protect those they love. Though they may not look alike, both characters sound alike. They share the voice of American Radio actress Barbara Luddy. Here she is in person… Luddy also lent her voice to Kanga in Winnie the Pooh… And Rover from 101 Dalmatians (1961)… Let me know about your favorite Disney Doppelgangers in the comments.
