Five Slimming World recipes with minced beef

Slimming World spaghetti bolognese recipe Syns per serving:FREE Recipe 1 large onion 3 garlic cloves 500g lean minced beef (5% fat or less) ½ tsp dried chilli flakes ½ tsp ground cinnamon 1 tsp dried basil 1 grated carrot 2x 400g tins chopped tomatoes 200g passata Salt and pepper Chopped fresh parsley Start off by frying the onion and garlic, add the beef and cook for a few minutes until brown. Add the herbs, vegetables and tomatoes and season well. Cover and simmer on a low heat for around 30 minutes. Serve with spaghetti and salad Slimming World family cottage pie recipe Syns per serving: FREE (when using cheese as a Healthy Extra A) serves 4 Recipe: 1 large onion 2 garlic cloves 500g lean minced beef (5% fat or less) 300g chopped kale 400g tin chopped tomatoes 200g passata 6 tbsp tomato puree splash Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp dried mixed herbs 1kg potatoes 200g fat-free natural fromage frais 160g reduced fat cheese (Add 6 syns per serving if not using as a healthy extra) Start off by frying the onion and garlic, add the beef and cook for a few minutes until brown. Add the kale, tomatoes, passata, Worcestershire sauce and herbs and simmer for a further 5 - 10 minutes. Boil the peeled potatoes until cooked and then mash with the fromage frais until smooth. Spoon the beef mixture into an oven proof dish and top with the mash. Sprinkle with cheese and cook in the oven to 200 °C/fan180 °C/gas 6 for 20-25 minutes until the top is golden brown. Slimming World chilli con carne recipe Serves: 4 Syns per serving: FREE Recipe Low calorie cooking spray 1 large red onion 2 garlic cloves 500g lean beef mince (5% fat or less) 2 green chillies 2 tsp ground cumin 1 tsp ground coriander 1 tsp paprika Pinch cayenne pepper 1 green & 1 yellow pepper 4 ripe plum tomatoes 300ml beef stock 400g tin red kidney beans Fry the onion and the garlic, add the beef and cook for a few minutes on a high heat. Slimming World lasagne recipe Syns per serving : Free (if using cheese as Healthy Extra) Serves 4 Recipe 500g lean beef mince (5% fat or less) 1 red pepper, deseeded and cut into bite-sized pieces 1 courgette, cut into bite-sized cubes 1 onion, peeled and finely chopped 4 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed 400g can chopped tomatoes 400g passata 2 tsp dried mixed herbs Low calorie cooking spray 500g fat-free natural yogurt 2 eggs, lightly beaten A pinch of nutmeg Salt and freshly ground black pepper 12 dried lasagne sheets 160g reduced-fat cheddar cheese (add 6 Syns per person if not using as a healthy extra A) Method Fry the onion and garlic, add the beef and cook for a few minutes until brown. Add the peppers and courgettes to your beef base, followed by the tomatoes, the passata and herbs and cook for 10 - 15 minutes. Meanwhile, mix together the yoghurt, eggs and nutmeg and season well. Build up the layers of beef mix, lasagne sheets and yoghurt mix and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in a moderate oven for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden. Slimming World mince stuffed peppers recipe Syns per serving - FREE recipe 1 onion 2 garlic cloves 200g lean minced beef (5% fat or less) 200g mushrooms 3 tomatoes 2 tsp dried oregano 2 tbsp passata 4 large coloured peppers Method Fry the onion and garlic, add the beef and cook for a few minutes until brown. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for 10-12 minutes until reduced. Cut the peppers in half and fill with the beef mixture and bake for 25-30 minutes in a medium oven 180°C/fan 160°C/gas 3
