The last week of cycling across Europe started in Romania. Leaving Timisoara was as scary as cycling in the city and I couldn't have left Romania without another dog attack, haha. As soon as I crossed the border to Hungary I felt relieved to escape the crazy drivers and dog attacks. It is weird, it is just a border, a small piece of land, but lots can change by crossing it. Every day during this week I felt weird. It felt good to cycle through Hungary, Austria and Slovakia again, see the the same familiar EV6 route and the same places I passed 150 days ago when I was starting my bike tour across Europe. I also felt like I wanted to stop there, or turn back, not go to the old life I had. This is the hardest thing for me: going back to a "normal" life after feeling absolute freedom for 5 months. What was supposed to be an easy cycling week, it turned out to be quite challenging, both physically and mentally.
